Being new to this whole liberal blogging world and becoming involved in politics only early this year. I want to say, It is a jungle in here. I do not know how long this blog site has been in existence, I am sure some of you old jungle cats will tell me, right? Wrong! I have been here only a few weeks but let me say this is not a welcoming community for the most part. It seems a lot of the people here are so wrapped up in their own personal agenda and ego trip, running to fall all over themselves just to post some witty quip or create a argument.
I come here a few times a day to read the latest news, sometimes make a comment and then run away fast. Brutal is how it has been described to me by another newbie. I have posted several comments with tech questions, you see I am not as techy as most of you. No one has ever responded to one question with a answer. Oh sure, it might get a rec' for the question but then the answer to that question is ignored. I posted a diary and the third comment was from some jerk looking to pick a fight. I came to this site because I want to help make things better in our country. I want to help elect Barack Obama. I was hoping that the liberal blogging world was a whole lot nicer than the Republican world outside of the internet. After having been here a short while, I believe was wrong. Why doesn't this community embrace new people of all ages who are here to help bring about the change this country desperately needs? Now, I am not talking about all of you, but I think the arguers and witty quippers who ignore questions and give snotty remarks know who they are. I, for one, would like to see this place embrace the young of all ages of this liberal blog site. You can go ahead and make your snide comments if you like but I am not afraid of the jungle animals today. It would be really great if the nice people here came out of the woodwork.
