Netroots Nation was pretty cool for me, having not attended Yearlykos before and having never stepped foot in Texas either. There were some great panels, excellent film screenings, valuable networking time and an overall vibe that should result in a big win for Obama this fall and other important wins on the local and state level.
It's 2:00 in the morning, and after watching an episode of Mad Men, I figured I'd write a new Diary on Dailykos. Last time I wrote one was way back during the 2008 primaries. Wait...two months ago. Feels like a long time ago. Hillary almost gave me some gray hairs too. I have to say that Barack Obama proved his might during the primary. Man, was it long and tiring.
Here goes. I am presented a brand new poll to see everyone's take on the Electoral College November 4th. First, I like making polls and second the Electoral College is all that matters. Those national polls that fluctuate between 1 and 7% don't mean anything, whether it's Rasmussen, Gallup, Time, Newsweek, whatever. It didn't mean anything in the primary and it doesn't mean anything now. It's all about winning states (as you all very well know). All the major blue states and most of the Swing states. And we're finding out this year that there seems to be more swing states than last time, and some Republican strongholds like North Dakota and North Carolina are now in play. Amazing.
I personally think that Barack Obama will win by a sizable amount but I want to hear what you all think. I know this isn't as substantive and informative as other diaries here but how about a little late-night prediction.
