As you may(or may not) be aware, Former Deputy District Attorney and author Vincent Bugliosi's latest book "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" has been released to an overwhelmingly lack of media coverage. It appears to be blacklisted from all of the normal media outlets for a release of this magnitude.
That is a story in itself. But that's not the story here.
Bugliosi has laid out the case against GWB in great detail in his book and has thrown down the gauntlet, ladies and gentlemen.
He has established jurisdiction for all American soldiers that have died in the War in Iraq and has sent copies of his book to all 50 State's Attorneys. He believes there to be at least one Attorney brave enough to bring murder charges against George W. Bush for the over 4,000 soldiers who have died.
Will there be any takers?
Bugliosi states that although The U.S. Attorney General in D.C. and the 93 Federal Prosecutors would have jurisdiction over such a case, he does not believe that they would be willing to present a case of murder against their former 'boss'.
However, at the state and county level he has also established jurisdiction for the approximately 1,000 attorneys which includes the 50 State's Attorney Generals as well as the approx. 950 District Attorneys within those states. According to Bugliosi, each case of a soldier's death would be prosecutable under the law as murder at either the state or county level.
Bugliosi outlines much of the evidence for the case during a recent interview.
The most compelling piece of evidence are the changes made in the White Paper that was presented to Congress and the American people that had demonstrable changes from the Classified reports from the 16 Security Agencies that were the source for the white paper. All mentions of Saddam Hussein not being a threat in the 16 Intelligence Agencies' Classified Reports had been deleted and were not presented in the Unclassified White Paper, which was then used just 7 days later as justification for Congress to authorize George Bush to go to War with Iraq. Also, contained in the Classified reports were opinions stated as such concerning Hussein's WMDs, such as "it is our opinion that Saddam Hussein has WMDs", but in the White Paper the opinion was replaced with fact: "Saddam has WMDs"
This would clearly constitute fraud, as well as premeditation of murder of innocent Iraqis and Americans and is prosecutable under law.
George W. Bush has temporary immunity while in the White House, but after he leaves the Presidency any of the aforementioned Attorneys could present a case of murder against him for the 4,000+ American soldiers who have died.
At this time, Bugliosi states that he is unable to establish jurisdiction for the thousands of Iraqis who have died in the War in Iraq.
Are there any courageous Attorneys out there willing to bring George W. Bush into a court of law under murder charges?
From Bugliosi: "It's not unreasonable to believe that there exists at least one prosecutor courageous enough to step forward, and to say this is the United States of America and in America no man is above the law."
He also mentions that there is no statute of limitations for murder and cites the example of Pinochet being charged 33 years after the fact.
