Right wing, casino-funded juggernaut Vets for Freedom, recently sent eight of its members back to Iraq. The mission, in their words "to embed with U.S. combat units and assess the security and political situation on the ground. The media—-along with recent Iraq visitors—-have not sufficiently reported the gains on the ground...so we'll do it ourselves."
Vets for Freedom thinks that it can out-report professional reporters, when they can't even spell Barack Obama's name.
Here's their new email:
Immediately upon returning, Vets for Freedom co-founder and former Army Staff Sergeant David Bellavia and former Marine Corps Captain Erik Swabb participated in an Iraq Update Forum with one of Senator Barrack Obama's chief foreign policy advisors, Colin Kahl at the American Enterprise Institute. And, this morning David Bellavia was featured on C-SPAN's Washington Journal taking questions from viewers from around the nation.
Sure, they're not the first people to do it, and in the scheme of things it's not that big a deal -- but if you're going to make a big fuss about how the media isn't holding up its professional end of the bargain, the least you can do is copy-edit your email that goes to your supposed membership of 25,000 and spell the man who may be President's name correctly.
That's all.
