On Sunday I found out that an Obama campaign office in my home state of New Mexico did not have the supplies it needed for its open house this next Saturday. I don't know the reasons for the lack of supplies but knew instantly that I had to do something.
Being that this is the most important election of our lives helping them out was the only thing I could do. And I did it with my head held high.
With some schmoozing and networking I was able to get some Obama placards and buttons printed...and in time for their grand opening.
But this diary isn't meant to be about me. It is about you and what you can do to help this massive grassroots campaign be well oiled so that the machine can crank out Obama's message before November.
I challenge all Kossacks to check out this old school supply list and donate to the campaign office closest to you. Obama's site has an events page which makes it easy to find local campaign stuff happening in your neighborhood. You can also find information on your local campaign offices here.
No cash to donate? Donate your time volunteering. Can't volunteer? Then use this handy old school supply list to search for items in your house or office that you can donate to your local campaign office.

Do you own a business? Can you use your business connections to help your local office with printing materials, discounts, marketing supplies? Can you negotiate a free meal for the campaign workers from a local restaurant?
Call your local office and ask them what they need. You might be surprised at their response. And it won't cost you that much.
Yes we can Kossacks. We have to. Nut cutting time.
Si, se puede.
