I've volunteered to be a Neighborhood Leader for the Campaign for Change, which means I'm responsible for canvassing a few precincts for both voter registration and GOTV. I've organized a registration drive for this Saturday afternoon and well... I'm not getting too many volunteers, which is disappointing to say the least since I've invited all of the precinct's Obama and Clinton delegates and alternates. I'm looking for 12 volunteers, and have gotten one response so far.
I have an event posted on my.barackobama.com with all of the details. If there are any Seattle area Kossacks would would be interested in registering new voters in the Wallingford and Greenlake area (43-2045 and 43-2046 precincts), I would love your help!
The 43rd Legislative District has Washington's highest number of Democrats, yet our turnout is not always up to snuff. The Obama campaign has set a very ambitious goal of registering 5,000 new voters in the 43rd. Our governor, Christine Gregoire is locked in a tough battle with snake oil salesman Dino Rossi, so getting a good turnout from the 43rd is key.
The details for the event can be found at:

If any of you are up for it, please RSVP at the above address. Thanks for any help you guys can give. Oh, and there will be free buttons!!! That's a $3 dollar value if you act now!
