Yes, I have it backward, but the analogy fits. Let me explain. No, that would take too long. Let me sum up...
I'm not going to talk about the gaffes, the scandals, or her experience. Instead, what we need to focus on is everything except her. Because what she was chosen to be is a distraction. She is a sheep in wolf's clothing because while she looks like a wolf, she doesn't have the killer instinct of a wolf. She couldn't get away with shooting someone in the face and get them to apologize. She acts like a sheep and smells like a sheep, following orders and doing all the things that she is told to do, and being the proper modern woman, which in the Republican party, is something of a contradiction. Which is why she is perfect for what they want her to do.
So, here is how they are playing this. They have put her out there in plain view. We are assuming she is a wolf, but she isn't doing the wolf things like chasing sheep. She even seems kinda incompetent for a wolf. We start to let our guard down as we sniff at the funny wolf. But while we are sniffing at the funning wolf that doesn't smell like a wolf, we aren't paying attention (or enough attention anyway) to the real wolves.
Bush is still in office. We have to survive four more month of him and Cheney doing everything they can to get us into a war with Russia, Iran, and an eternal presence in Iraq. McCain is ramping up efforts in more and more desperate measures to try to catch up to Obama in the polls.
And keep in mind what has happened to the protesters (and innocent bystanders) near the RNC convention. And most importantly, there have been a number of diaries about voter rigging/disenfranchisement, blocking, and other tactics to skew the election. Twice is too much.
We need to ignore the sheep in wolf clothing and really start questioning McCain and hitting him hard on his judgment and just ignore Palin because she isn't worth being distracted by.
