I can't even limbo under this thing.
OK, I have had enough. Lets start asking some real questions. Regardless of the party of any of the candidates. Why as Americans do we accept a VP nominee as a viable choice when we don't know what their stance on major issues, both domestic and foreign are? If Joe Biden was chosen by Obama and said that he "hadn't thought about Iraq much" would we be ok with that? For the record, when I say we, I mean Americans not DKos readers. Would we accept a shoulder shrug from Biden on Iraq, China, Russia, Georgia, etc. I seriously doubt it. Why are Democrats held to a higher level than the Republicans? Why should we go easy on the Republicans's policies when they are proven wrong? If a Democrat had a policy on being fine with racial equality for instance, but bared their children from associating with other races would we just let it slide.
I don't know about you, but these last 4 days have proven one thing. The media doesn't have a bias for the Republican party. They actually pity them. It reminds me of the Olympics. You want to cheer for the American basketball team because they are good and your home team. However, you feel so sorry for the smaller team that you sometimes want to see them beat the odds. Sometimes you want to see David beat Goliath.
The problem is that assuming Goliath is always the bad guy is wrong. David is not always right. Sometimes the underdog is the underdog because he isn't as good at the sport as the leader. The Republicans lose on every issue with the American people in this elections. So how is it still remotely close (that is starting to change now)? Its the fair and balanced mentality. Lets give the other guy a shot. I know he is dribbling the basketball with his face, but maybe, just maybe he will do a slamdunk.
So when people say the MSM is in love with the Republicans I have to disagree. I think they just pity them. Now mind you I think the MSM doesn't even realize it.
