Myself and a few friends have started a liberal progressive forum to dicuss and exchange ideas for Pennsylvanians.
The discussions are not limited to politics. We are in the early phases and everyone is welcome to join.

We made a decision to start a forum for PA Liberals.
Many of us belonged to a local forum. We welcomed the political debate. However, it reached a point where the right wingers were attacking us not just politically, but personally, professionally, gender and race wise.
It became quite the cesspool of the right wing turning their attacks up several notches once a radical right winger becoe a moderator.
Some of us refused to continue to play victims to these personal insults.
So we decided there was a hunger and a desire for a Forum for PA Liberals. We googled it and we found few of these forums for this state.
So Please Join as we would love to have your input and feedback.
If you do not have the time, stop by and visit.
It is very easy to join.
I did not want to make this into a diary but I figured it was the best way to make an announcement. But feel free to tell me that. I welcome all feedback.
Some of us also participate on Daily Kos but let me know if you think I should not be posting information about another forum and I will be happy to delete this.
Some background: I live in Central PA but members have been invited from all over the country who have links to PA. We all come from various backgrounds with an array of different educational backgrounds and occupations.
I currently live 40 miles north of Harrisburg PA in the Tri County Region of Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties.
These counties have a long standing tradition of lifelong Republican voters. The children of each generation tend to register as Republicans because their parents did. There are a few pockets of ultra right wingers but normally what I see here are the less radical Republicans and fewer Evangelicals. This area is old time Republicans who consider themselves moderate and many are feeling a disconnect since their party veered so far to the right.
But we are seeing a shift as more people move into the area to teach at either Bucknell or Susquehanna University and thus more Democrats. It is exciting to see and very grassroots and growing. Barack Obama's nomination has done much to energize and grow the Democratic party in this region.
Many of our members are from the Williamsport PA area, home of the Little League World Series. It is a quite a diverse area and I live there for 9 years, also the hometown of my husband. However we see more of a radical right wing Republican Party in Lycoming county in contrast to my area.
And we are just in the early stages of creating the forum and we are open to any and all suggestions.
