Back in 2000, I have to admit to a fair bit of respect for John McCain as a candidate. That was then.
This is now:
Mr. McCain asks that we trust his judgement. I cannot because:
- He has linked himself to those who attacked him and his family in 2000. How do you trust a man like that?
- He has actively sought support from those that in 2000, he called "agents of intolerance". Selling out principles and integrity like that, how can he be trusted?
- His campaign has used songs that he has not obtained the rights to use. Last time I looked people like that were called thieves. Trust? No way.
- He cannot keep track of the houses his family owns. I'm terrified of trusting someone so oblivious with the nuclear button.
- His surrogates complain of lack of media coverage, when what is not being covered are his multiple gaffes. Again a terrifying obliviot. Not knowing the difference between Sunni and Shia on Iraq is like calling Ian Paisley of Northern Ireland a Catholic.
I could go on, but I think I've convinced myself.
