I am 59 years old, and I've been interested in politics for literally as long as I can remember, from the time my father hoisted me onto his shoulder to watch Dwight Eisenhower make a whistle stop appearance in my hometown. Eight years ago, although I disagreed with John McCain on a number of issues, I had great respect for him. That is no longer true. I now have nothing but CONTEMPT for the man, since his campaign has now put out the most blatantly dishonest political ad I've ever seen.
More than a month ago, I posted here that John McCain had sold his soul to get the Republican nomination, and that having sold it, he no longer felt ANY constraints of decency. Little did I know then how accurate that description would prove to be.
The McCain campaign has now released a new ad directly accusing Barack Obama of calling Sarah Palin a pig. They've done it by ripping the comment TOTALLY out of context (as indeed they had to do, since the context demonstrates that it referred to putting a new sheen on the same policies of the past 8 years), and they've included a Katie Couric comment that I'm sure is also ripped totally out of context. (The fact that the Couric comment seems to have been snipped in mid-sentence is kind of a dead give-away.)
Here is John McCain's latest insult to the intelligence of the American public, and his latest contribution to the cheapening of political discourse in America:
If you're as outraged at this insult to the intelligence of the American people as I am, please dig a little deeper and contribute to the campaign. You can do so at my personal fundraising site:

And contact your local Obama group and VOLUNTEER (or volunteer to do more if you're already volunteering). The future of this country depends upon it.
[Edit: Changed title to avoid implication that Palin saw the airplane on E-Bay.]
