Lordy, lordy, another Palin lie.
In her recent sit down with Charlie Gibson, when pressed about her assertion "our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God," and asked whether she thought the United States was fighting a holy war, Palin backpedaled.
She claimed she meant to convey Abraham Lincoln's quote that "I would never presume to know God's will or to speak God's words."
Oh, really?
This is "funny," considering this statement comes from the same woman who authored and sent an email birth announcement written in the voice of god, signed by "Trig’s Creator, Your Heavenly Father."
In part, the the e-mail, sent just after giving birth, said: "Many people will express sympathy, but you don't want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this."
It was written in the voice of and signed it as "Trig's Creator, Your Heavenly Father," a/k/a God, a/k/a, apparently, Sarah Palin.
Honestly, can you imagine being so presumptuous as to pen something IN THE VOICE OF GOD?
Despite her declaration to the contrary to Gibson, then are plenty of examples of Palin ("Your Heavenly Father") presuming to know God's will:
Of course there's her from-the-pulpit declaration our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God" regarding the war and occupation in Iraq.
And then there was the time Palin declared "God’s will has to be donein unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that."
Sounds like Palin literally thinks she has a pipeline to God's mind. ...
