Worked a table briefly today for the Worthington Area Democratic Club, which set up a voter registration/information table at the Old Worthington Market Day Festival, a street art & crafts fair.
Here's a shot of Tracey, a fellow volunteer at the table:
So far today (as of 4pm) over sixty voters registered. Buttons and bumperstickers (Obama/Biden) went like hotcakes and there is a lot of excitement about the race. We also passed out information on early voting, gave out contact sheets to be filled out for people to be contacted by their neighborhood team leaders and took names and numbers of those wanting yard signs (not available today alas).

One lady who picked up some stickers said "I'm a Republican" but she is voting for Obama. She lives in the city of Delaware, Ohio and said that her neighbors are overwhelmingly Republican, like her, but she can't stand Palin.
There was also a booth at the fair set up by the Worthington Republicans, but it had less action from what I could see. I heard one of the old ladies manning that booth complain, "My neighbor has a 'Republican for Obama' sign facing my house that I have to look at every day!"
Worthington is 3:1 Republican, so it was good to see this kind of interest in Obama there.
