It’s been a long time since I’ve written a diary here. My sense is that there are people doing good research who have a lot more to add than I do and I hesitate to clutter the airwaves. That said, I need to say my piece here. So now, all of you, and you know who I mean:
Go to the blackboard and write 10 times:
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
It is not about Sarah Palin.
The only relevance Sarah Palin has to this campaign is the judgement, or lack thereof, that Karl McBush showed in selecting her as his running mate.
It is about the economic mess the Republicans have gotten us into.
It is about the statements John McCain has made confessing to knowing nothing about the economy.
It is about the sleazy, desperate campaign John McCain is running.
It is about the billions wasted in Iraq that could be spent on infrastructure and education.
It is about vision and judgement.
It is about registering new voters.
It is about getting out the vote.
Can we please ignore Sarah Palin and focus on the real target: keeping John McCain out of the White House?
