Other than WI, these are pretty darn good results for Obama:
Florida: Obama 48, McCain 48
Indiana: McCain 51, Obama 45
North Carolina: McCain 48, Obama 47
Ohio: Obama 49, McCain 47
Wisconsin: Obama 50, McCain 47
I don't know CNN/Time's biases in past polls but this is the first non-Quinnapac poll to show Obama up in OH for a whole and the -1 in NC with the tie in FL is amazing news. Here's hoping this trend continues.
And yes, it's short for a diary, I know ;)
Here's CNN's writeup.
"In Ohio, higher-income voters have moved more toward McCain in the last few weeks, while lower-income voters have trended toward Obama," Holland noted. "It looks like economic issues are increasingly dividing voters along income lines -- at least in the Ohio -- in the classic pattern that we have seen in previous elections."
The polls were from 9/14-16 if you're curious.
According to the comments, with 3rd parties added, Florida is Obama 48% McCain 44%. I don't have those numbers but the article says, "When included in the results, Independent Ralph Nader, Libertarian Bob Barr and Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney grab a total of 7 percent of the vote in Indiana between them, 6 percent in Florida and Ohio, and 5 percent in North Carolina, which could be enough to influence the outcome in those states."
Because it's the law, I think I have to say this, "W00T! First time on rec list!"
