Is anybody watching CNN, which is conducting a forum with several former Secretaries of State: Kissinger, James Baker, Madeline Allbright(sp?), Colin Powell. You might be missing some good stuff.
They talked about Georgia. The consensus is that Georgia was at fault in "igniting" the conflict. Colin Powell made comments that were clearly dismissive of statements made "one of the presidential candidates" (ie, Mccain) concerning US policy in the face of the Georgia/Russia incident. Too bad I don't have a DVR.
They talked about Iran. ALL of them said it would be a good idea - perhaps even a necessary one - to engage in dialog with Iran. Again, although clearly unstated, the obvious inference was that they disagreed with the idea that negotiating with Iran was appeasement.
I'm not going to be able to see the whole thing myself, but I encourage folks to catch the re-airing of the show, whenever it's announced. They are really shooting down several of McCain's foreign policy stances.
