I think we can all pretty much agree that Barack Obama had a pretty good night last night. But I was equally thrilled/impressed with Joe Biden. How nice it is to have a VP that we can trust to go on the networks and do interviews about our Presidential candidate. I caught him on Countdown, and he was awesome, he hit points Obama didn't have time to hit, and he still came off as the "nice guy" further cementing that the Democratic ticket is the way to go if you want to end pettiness in politics.
Here is is with Wolf:
and with Brian Williams:
The themes:
- John McCain is in the PAST Barack Obama is looking to the future
- John McCain doesn't understand the difference between strategy and tactics, yet he tries to lecture Obama
- John McCain is NOT a Vet supporter, his ratings are low with vet groups
- John McCain should have CRUSHED Obama in this debate, and he didn't
- John McCain doesn't get it, and will be a failure as President
- Barack Obama did a great job, and Joe hopes to do as well next week in what will be a tough debate
I feel really good about the man we nominated AND the man he selected to be his running mate. Joe Biden has been a force to be reckoned with in an almost silent but deadly way. You don't hear much about Joe (he's not as sensational as the other VP nominee), but he's been working it on the stump, the crowds that go see him love him, and he's the fire to Obama's Ice.

UPDATE: IF you're wondering where Palin was, apparently she was at a bar in Philly. I kid you not. So Biden is making the rounds on TV looking Presidential, and Palin is in a BAR in PHILLY? Seriously? Also, Palin was joined by about 300 protesters. LOL, I swear this stuff writes itself. I hope SNL does a skit about Palin in the bar.
h/t to hyperstation for the video and bjhunt
UPDATE: This is the scariest ad Obama has put out yet. . .
