If you come with a knife, then we come with a gun.
If you come with Rekzo, Ayers and Wright. Weak, guilt-by-association politics--then it's time to really let the show get started with the associations that people are really going to to be interested in.
Team-O is going after Keating Five with a mini-documentary!
First McCain and the Keating Five, then next I'm guess Palin and her secessionist friends in the AKIP.
Check out the politico info after the jump, along with a bonus web-site on John McCain's record.
Yes this IS by Team Obama Ya'll, the website clearly has "Obama for America" at the bottom.

Rahm warned them!
The latest scoop from politico.com -- I have a feeling that they are watching dns servers that host political mini-sites.
Here's the full story at Politico.com
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on Monday will launch a multimedia campaign to draw attention to the involvement of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in the "Keating Five" savings-and-loan scandal of 1989-91, which blemished McCain’s public image and set him on his course as a self-styled reformer.
Pushing back against what it calls "guilt-by-association" tactics by McCain, the Obama campaign is e-mailing millions of supporters a link to a website, KeatingEconomics.com, that will have a 13-minute documentary on the scandal beginning at noon Eastern time on Monday. The overnight e-mails urge recipients to pass the link on to friends
As many people here have been saying for days -- McCain should not be the one to play the guilt-by-association game in the era of a huge financial melt-down.
Here's the starter, an update to follow shortly. Politico only has a brief story up, I'm going to look and see how the story is propagating across the net.
Update 1
I'm still waiting on the Team-O official e-mail.
My guess is they will come out with a mail on both websites --
JohnMcCainRecord.com and KeatingEconomics.com
I found a great blog devoted to the Keating Five Scandal by an Obama Supporter.
McCain Keating Five
Update 2
Ben Smith at politico.com has a diary entry about K5. This is not guilt-by association. This is "guilt-by-guilt."
Keating Five Cometh
More damaging because the story of McCain and Keating is not guilt by association; it's guilt by guilt. McCain's problem isn't that he knew Keating in activities unconnected to his wrongdoing; it's that Keating, in the course of his wrondoing, gave McCain money and tried, with a bit of success, to use him to influence regulators.
Update 6
WSJ blog -- Keating Five Push
"The Keating Five involved all the things that have brought the modern crisis. Senator McCain has not learned the lesson, and has continued to follow policies that are going to produce a disaster," former bank regulator William Black says in the Obama campaign’s new documentary-style Web attack.
Update 7
Rahm warned them!!
Rep. Rahm Emanuel, a Chicago Democrat and Obama supporter, warned against McCain's strategy on CNN's "Late Edition" Sunday.
"If we are going to go down this road — you know, Barack Obama was eight years old, somehow responsible for Bill Ayers," he said. "At 58, John McCain was associating with Charles Keating."

Keating Economics -- A story of deregulation
There are no web-ads for the Keating Five web site yet. However, here is the text on the site from Team-O.
The current economic crisis demands that we understand John McCain's attitudes about economic oversight and corporate influence in federal regulation. Nothing illustrates the danger of his approach more clearly than his central role in the savings and loan scandal of the late '80s and early '90s.
John McCain was accused of improperly aiding his political patron, Charles Keating, chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association. The bipartisan Senate Ethics Committee launched investigations and formally reprimanded Senator McCain for his role in the scandal -- the first such Senator to receive a major party nomination for president.

The Chicago Way!
''If you open the can on these worms you must be prepared to go all the way, because they're not gonna give up the fight until one of you is dead,'' he says. ''You wanna know how you do it? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way, and that's how you get Capone. Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that?''
