Okay,
Rep John Lewis asked the McCain campaign to tone down the campaign coz their actions, rallies, speakers, commercials, and public statements are the reason why people in McCain and Palin's rallies are calling Obama a traitor, terrorist and shout "kill him" rants.
Politico has the story which specifically shows that Rep John Lewis is issuing a very clear but strong warning that McCain's actions can lead to violence.
Now Republicans (according to MSNBC) are whining and crying like babies as they always do and call Lewis statement as unfair characterization of McCain. Follow me below the fold
I dont have the clip yet for this but David Shuster on MSNBC has just finished talking about the "outrage" from the McCain campaign (a 4-4:15 pm EST segment on MSNBC).
My advice to Sen Obama and Rep Lewis, do not apologize or cave in to the whining Republicans. They are trying to create something out of nothing just to cover their evil actions.
More updates coming..

Statement from Sen Obama's Campaign
Senator Obama does not believe that John McCain or his policy criticism is in any way comparable to George Wallace or his segregationist policies.
But John Lewis was right to condemn some of the hateful rhetoric that John McCain himself personally rebuked just last night, as well as the baseless and profoundly irresponsible charges from his own running mate that the Democratic nominee for President of the United States ‘pals around with terrorists.’
As Barack Obama has said himself, the last thing we need from either party is the kind of angry, divisive rhetoric that tears us apart at a time of crisis when we desperately need to come together. That is the kind of campaign Senator Obama will continue to run in the weeks ahead
