The link is here Obama's 'Diplomacy' Wins a Republican Endorsement.
Update: Seems I misread the article. This isn't an endorsement of Obama from Lugar, rather just an agreement on his stance about diplomacy.
Even though some places like republicans for Obama are touting this as an endorsement of Obama by Lugar, I have to agree with the commenters to this diary that that is not what this means. That being said, Dick Lugar is the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations committee. This is a man with some gravitas. If a man with these kind of foreign relations credentials, from the opposing party no less, endorses Obama's take on dealing with foreign countries, I think that makes a damning statement of McCain's foreign policy.
I think this is also another nail in the coffin of the "Obama isn't ready" argument that the McCain camp keeps trying to beat on, even though they've moved on slightly into "Obama is a terrorist" claptrap because the Palin selection basically eviscerated their experience argument.
Obama's list of Republican endorsements that keeps growing by the day also undercuts what little 'bipartisanship' advantage McCain has/had. I don't see too many Democrats lining up to endorse McCain but conservatives and Republicans are both seeing which way the tide is going and are quick to jump aboard, not just because of the visible change in momentum, but because a lot of them just can not support McCain and the policies he's promoting. Completely meaningless paragraph due to misreading.
This is (I think) my first Diary, hopefully it's okay. Well, I've shot that all to hell :P It's not easy making such a blatant screwup and keeping spirits up.
