A couple of days ago Hlinko posted a diary offering to donate $1 per haiku to Senator Obama, up to $250, via a special donation page. DONE! I offered to follow up for the next 250, but the haiku diary then slid off the front page and the haikus stopped. SO, if your haiku juices are still flowing, here are the rules again (from Hlinko's original diary):
Here's how it works:
- Leave a haiku below, related to the presidential campaign (i.e., praising Obama/Biden, slamming McCain or Palin, etc.)
- For those of you who slept through elementary school, haikus have 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third
- Recommend this diary if you want, to keep the haiku train going.
- Go to 1, lather, rinse, repeat.
Writing a haiku
Is not difficult when it
will help Obama.
Note: Usually a haiku alludes to the season. But no points off here, if it doesn't.
