This will be a short and sweet entry for the same reason I've made no entries over the past several months: I'm busy trying to see that in a few months the man is known as President Obama.
The opposition is targeting Pennsylvania and Virginia. We have surrounding states like Maryland and New York locked down -- it's only a matter of how badly we will thump them.
But we need all hands on deck in Pennsylvania and Virginia. If you are within a few hundred miles of either, then we need you in those states, on the ground, doing the one-voter-at-a-time work needed to make sure those states are blue on election night. We need you NOW.
I've seen increased evidence of McCain campaign activity in both, beyond what's been making the news. Their operational locations are cranking up for a fight, and it seems likely that they're going to throw a LOT of resources into a last-ditch effort to hold those states. They're shifting money and staff and volunteers from places they've abandoned (like Michigan and Colorado). There are more cars in the parking lots and more people on the street, more ads in the media and more phone calls being made.
We cannot allow them to win. We must outnumber them, out-think them, and outwork them.
Kos says "leave it all on the road". I say "Bring down the avalanche" -- bury them in an unstoppable, endless wave of reinforcements that they can't possibly hope to match, that leaves them demoralized and hopeless. Where they have 5, we need 50. Where they have 100, we need 1000. When they sleep, we will work. Where they fumble, we will execute with relentless precision.
You know what to do.
