Here is a short diary, but I believe well worth one's while. I saw the link in the comments section at Crooks and Liars. The main story is about Malik Shabazz turning the tables on the filthy Sean Hannity (that too is well worth a whirl), but what I saw in the comments section really deserves wider attention.
Here you go: Tales of the Freeway Blogger
I'll admit I laughed, which probably says something about me, but let's keep our attention on them (yes, I referred to them as 'them,'), and rather than cry, I thought I would share it with you.
Let me know what you think.
As many of us have witnessed in the past few weeks, there have been blatant hostile, criminal, and even grotesque acts from what can only be fairly described as McCain supporters. Indeed, they often readily admit, or acknowledge, as such.
Obviously, this has been going on much longer than since Obama has been running for President or either of the 2 Bushes, but clearly there seems to this viewer to have been an uptick. Whether it is in Johnstown, Pa or DKos had this diary last week coming from Ohio (2 so-called battleground or bellweather states). There are other incidents too.
And, so far the grossest act of humanity, at least that I am aware of, is the wanton torture and abuse of the bear cub in North Carolina festooned with Obama paraphernalia. Of course, some would excuse it because it was only an animal, while behaviorists counter that animal abuse can be a harbinger of human violence, but I, and I bet Michael Vick, would say, 'Nay,' for the depravity showed in killing a bear cub to express one's political views must not be belittled. I also cannot deny that it seems the attack on the Arkansas journalist who appeared in 'W,' the movie, is of the same ilk.
Anyway, that Freeway Blogger sure captured some (very real and sad) part of America. I particularly liked the 'Get a brain, Morans!'
