As Mike put it:
We can elect a congressman's kid, or we can elect somebody who has the qualifications to deal with these issues.
That about sums up the race, Mike Lumpkin has the experience and know how we need. Junior offers nothing but serving as a puppet for his daddy. This race is winnable, as an internal GOP poll, which had previously shown Mike tied with Junior, and their latest showing Mike with a three point lead!

Here's part one of the debate. It's mostly introductions, but lets you learn something about the candidates.
Part two of the debate. It starts off with a question about what sort of legislation the candidates would introduce. First up is Junior, who starts off with a bunch of typical nonsense about undocumented workers and a bunch of typical bullshit about Iraq, low taxes, and "traditional family values. Yawn. Next up is Benoit, the Libertarian, who repeats the Libertarian party line. Though legislation that would force members of congress to actually read the Constitution has a certain appeal.
But the best of course is saved for last, with our man Mike. He does start off with the border security stuff, which is unavoidable in this district. Next he goes into his ideas on renewable energy, something the other two neglected to mention at all. After that, the economy, with a focus on broadening the taxbase for infrastructure and education. He also mentioned restoring our checks and balances, and getting an exit strategy for Iraq, citing the fact that Maliki wants us out.
That's all that's up on YouTube at the moment, hopefully there will be more to show all of you. All in all though, it was a great night for Mike!
