With Republican Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska being found guilty as charged for the usual stuff greedy people get convicted for; lying cheating and stealing, Sen. Stevens is reportedly still holding out hope he can be re-elected. If so, we wonder how that would work, as while we have heard of jail house lawyers helping other criminals with their cases and career felons teaching newbies new tricks, this will be a first that an imprisoned Senator will be schooling aspiring politicians on the ins and outs of copping big time freebies.
If Sen. Stevens can still remain optimistic under said circumstances, then the back biting, finger pointing, daily message changing McCain/Palin campaign should never say die despite their dire political forecast for November 4th. Over the last few days, they have launched a new set of reasons to vote for John the maverick and Sarah the automaton; Barack the Socialist, Communist, Marxist want to steal your hard earned money and give it to poor people. This strategy looks pretty clever on the surface, but even if that were true, the way we see it, he’d be giving the money right back to the people he was accused of taking it from.
We find it difficult to follow the McCain/Palin reasoning, considering most of the people who show up at their rallies by all statistical probability, earn less that $250k per year. If only the people and business owners that would benefit by a McCain administration tax plan were showing their support on the campaign trail, those crowd sizes would dwindle to a very small few. And that is exactly what John McCain was attracting to his campaign stops; a very small few. Hence, the Sarah the automaton pick for vice presidential running mate. The McCain campaign needed the religious right, the bazooka Joes and the sucker moms to fill out the thin crowds.
With that an obvious loser, they have been forced to unleashed their most desperate, telling and at this juncture last ridiculous argument for voting for the Republicans to keep the White House; the need to maintain a divided government. We can see it now, a vote for McCain/ Palin is a vote for government fairness and balance. Oops, we’ve heard a slogan like that somewhere before and it just might cause the McCain/Palin ticket a problem in the long run. So, were going to call this last crazy effort for what it is; A Vote for McCain/Palin is A Vote for Gridlock!
Yes, we can see how America is looking forward to more congressional stalemating, losers playing the spoiler, everybody blaming everybody and nobody accepting responsibility for anything. We can see how this plan to stop congress in it’s tracks time after time with nothing getting done but a lot of speeches and grandstanding for the media.
A divided government has shown us to date to be nothing more than a cover for inactivity and a reason to go home early without getting anything agreed upon save for a raise in congressional pay and maybe one of those happy bills like nobody can fart on the flag type crap.
Following John McCain’s last hope line of irrational thinking, nothing will ever get done on healthcare, we’ll still be bitching about guns and Roe-v-Wade, the schools will continue to disintegrate, wages will keep falling, opportunities for new businesses and technologies will dry up, the argument to go green or not to go green will rage on while the concept of change and everything the majority of the country has been fighting for, praying for and donating for will be just another missed opportunity.
We think the nation’s leadership has been able to hide behind the concept of divided government for far too long. We think the country would be much better off if one Party could be held accountable for everything and conversely receive full credit for everything they do.
We think also however, that whoever is really running the show behind the scenes; those invisible powerbrokers lurking at the top, actually like things murky and divisive as they can keep the status quo, the status quo.
If ever there was a time in this nation’s history that real change could occur for the benefit and betterment of the regular Joes and Janes of America, this is it. And that unmitigated change, if it is able to happen the way it should happen in this election is going to expose that invisible ruling class for what they really are. Their manipulative management style and strategies used over the masses will be overwhelmingly and painfully obvious to even the most moronic of their minions. Remember, the key to the success of that quiet but deadly, greedy, evil that has kept Americans divided and hating each other has only been able to accomplish so much to their benefit and mostly to to peoples demise through this very concept of divide and conquer tactics.
It is for all the aforementioned reasons, that we think the McCain/Palin ticket is using this lame irrational reasoning for voting Republican. A vote for McCain/Palin will simply keep America unfair and unbalanced for another four years.
