I know this diary is not very substantial. I apologize. But I'm just so proud of my brother. The other day, I wrote that he had decided he wanted to vote for Barack Obama, and got several kind "recs" on his behalf.
I'm not local, so I couldn't go with him, although I sure wish I could have. Anyway, I made some calls and figured out the way that would be the easiest for him. And yesterday, he voted... for the first time in his 57 years.

He was able to vote "absentee in person". So, he didn't have to brave the crowds on Nov 4, which would have been difficult, because he is disabled. He didn't even have to get out of his car. They brought the machine to him. Very cool!
I especially want to thank Cathie and John from the Obama campaign in Northern Virginia. They were a tremendous help.
