Okay, I found the link at Pollster.com.... but it did come from MSNBC and Chuck Todd's group, but COME ON!!!
More below the fold:
K, we all read about Sen. McCain wonder why he was stood up by Joe the Plumber, that's been out before. but it was the end of Chuck Todd's post that caught my eye:
A local school district official confirmed after the event that of the 6,000 people estimated by the fire marshal to be in attendance this morning, more than 4,000 were bused in from schools in the area. The entire 2,500-student Defiance School District was in attendance, the official said, in addition to at least three other schools from neighboring districts, one of which sent 14 buses.

Okay, I know this isn't new or anything... in 1988, my school band went was "forced" to goto a George H.W. Bush rally in Medina, Ohio with the other 6 high school bands from our county. (Which led to a bunch of sarcastic teenagers chanting "Quayle's Bush is full of Benson's Dukakis. Not classy, but for a 14 year old, it was high brow humor)
But the Senator only got 2000 people on his own, in a battleground state, this close to an election, in Defiance, Ohio?? If ANYWHERE is Ohio is considered McCain country, this is pretty damn close to it. It's like East Amish-ville. And out of the 6,000 "supporters" at the rally... 4,000 were kids bused in from other districts?
I don't blame the schools here, ironically, because it gives the kids a chance to observe the political process first hand. So please, don't take this as bashing them. Even the schools from other districts... I actually agree with that principal.
But McCain is going to spin this as a "swell of youth support", FROM A BUNCH OF 7th and 8th GRADERS. Please, if you see anything about this in your local media, please tell them the truth.
UPDATE
I saw someone else posted this on an update on one of the front page posts. Thanks for all the comments, it was hte Quayle -Bush line right/?
