I just wanted to share this musical tribute to Molly Ivins. It's written by Ann Fate and performed by The Mamas, a Minnesota music group made up of five talented performers. If you like "Urban Eclectic Folk", or just want to hear a song inspired by Molly I, then you'll enjoy their YouTube video.
The Mamas are real "Mamas for Obama". Kayakbiker posted a picture of Ann and a fellow band member wearing "Obama Mama" t-shirts at Senator Obama's June 3, 2008 speech in St. Paul, Minnesota. (Scroll down to Kayakbiker's 10th picture -- and history buffs may be interested to know that one of these t-shirts will be part of the Minnesota Historical Society's collections.) The Mamas also recently performed in the "Songs of Hope and Unity" benefit for the Obama campaign sponsored by the Minnesota Mother's Peace Network.
This is my first Daily Kos diary. I've been reading this site for years, but finally registered just so I could share this video and song with you all. Enjoy.
