The Arizona Republic editorial board reads Daily Kos, apparently. Today their secondary editorial is "Thwart Far Left." They urge their readers to
Re-elect John Shadegg and give an out-of-state political barbarian something to weep about on Election Day.
The barbarian they're referring to is none other Kos.
More below the fold.
The Republic editorial board is pretty much staffed by Republican yes-men. They endorsed McCain for Pres last Sunday, think Jeff Flake (AZ-06) is Awesome Personified, and they also happen to think John Shadegg (AZ-03) is pretty darn spiffy.
Their panties are now in a wad because of Kos' fundraising efforts on behalf of Bob Lord, the Democratic challenger to Shadegg. It's not fair! Plus, they take issue with Kos' statement posted Monday, "If you want to decapitate the Republican leadership, he's our best target in the House."
What Moulitsas seeks has the unseemly scent of wild-eyed vengeance. The fellow is looking for GOP bodies over which to stand.
Um, aren't you guys missing something? We dislike Shadegg's policies and his habit of voting with Bush 95% of the time. But somehow that makes us the "Far Left," even though it looks like, oh, 70% or so of the country thinks Bush sucks more than anyone who's ever sucked before.
I hope District 3 votes Shadegg out. I'm in Flake's district so all I can do is donate here, like the in-state political barbarian I am. Go Bob Lord!
