It appears the San Francisco Chronicle is pissed that the GOP is taking their interview with Barack Obama out of context and twisting into an 11th hour smear because it turns out ... they are lying about the whole thing!
It's not true.
But the Drudge Report, the Republican National Committee and apparently even GOP VP candidate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fell for completely fabricated news from a shady website called Newsbusters today suggesting the San Francisco Chronicle has ''hidden'' audio with Sen. Barack Obama regarding his statements on coal.
Wha? The GOP is lying and smearing?

The Chronicle is charitable in that they say the GOP and Palin "fell" for the false report. Understandably, Palin is not the brightest bulb, but we all know how this game works.
I'd like to see the Obama campaign do a little jujitsu and call out Palin for her lies.
