The office opened at 7 AM this morning. Most of left the office after 8:30 PM last night. Our goal was to make four passes today:
Pass 1: Hang election day door hangers on every door. The hangers encourage folks to GOTV, and give them information about their polling locations and polling hours. BTW, these are different than the hangers we posted yesterday.
Pass 2: Knock on door, talk to people, encourage them to vote, ask if they voted already, leave literature, and and offer them rides if needed.
Pass 3: Wait until people start coming home from work, then repeat pass 2.
Pass 4: At 5 PM, we repeat pass 4 one final time.
From 7 AM to 1:39 PM, we had hung 3639 door hangers (Pass 1).
From 11 AM to 2:59 PM, we had knocked on 1341 doors (Pass 2).
Passes one and two overlap.
There are so many volunteers that we just send the last batch home and asked them to come back at 4 PM.
Drivers are waiting in line to drive folks to the polls.
The amount of food that people have brought in is amazing.
The enerygy is great. I can't even imagine what it will feel like if we don't win tonight (but we have left nothing on the road)
Gotta get back to work. How are things going out there?
