I'm going to try to listen throughout the day, so you don't have to, to give the morning reactions form the radio right.
Any other masochists out there, please join in.
I'm including some live stream links from my local radio stations.
Blogging below the flip:
Unless I'm using quote marks, the following will be my paraphrasing of what they said.
For the 9am to 12pm PST period:
First up for me is Rush Limbaugh (listen live)
Limbaugh:
9am-10am
Congratulations to Obama for saving us from Hillary. This was not a defeat of conservatism because conservatism wasn't on the ballot.
Scoffing at turnout. Wasn't record turnout, and "how many votes were stolen?"
Californians told judges you can't override the public.
Screw being gracious in defeat. This is a war and we have to understand why we lost this "skirmish."
These are "left wing extremists," these are "radicals," who won't govern from the center.
No unity with Obama.
Which agenda do you want join him on? Abortion - FOCA? National health care? Driver's licenses for illegal aliens?
Latinos 2 to 1 for Obama, but conservatism should win over Latinos, not pandering by letting them come over illegaly.
Left blaming Palin. Who the hell put the Palin question in that poll? Palin saved this campaign.
Where was his extended family? Mentions his aunt and something about cat food. [gawd, he's an ass]
The moment McCain got the nomination, everything I predicted came to be.
10am-11am
Complaining about media calling Prop. 8 "controversial." [um, it had the most spending of any proposition]
First thing Clinton did wrong was "don't ask don't tell."
The word "center" you won't find in Obama's dictionary.
Read that major league baseball is looking into how to avoid a tax increase.
Will it be harder for Obama to raise taxes in 2010 when the tax cuts expire, or next year instead?
11am-12pm
The drivebys love McCain today, because he lost. That's to all of you who said we should have toned it town during the campaign.
Switching to Hannity, may personal fave (listen live).
Hannity:
12pm-1pm
I congratulate Obama.
Then something about liberals undermining troops, lowering their moral with their constant attacks.
I want economy to prosper and America should be a shining city.
I congratulate Obama for a brilliant campaign. He attacked every weakness in his opponents. Give them credit.
I don't know why Republicans left so much on the table. [not enough Ayers and Wright for Hannity]
McCain gave a classy speech.
Should have brought up inflating tires. [what??? Obama was right, McCain was wrong. But not surprising, Joe the Plumber was wrong too, and they used that.]
We don't know who Obama is. I don't buy into simplistic slogans and sophisticated marketing techniques. My major concern is I suspect he shares views of radicals like Ayers, Khalidi. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of our children, but this could be a fundamental, radical change in the America that we know.
Man on street interviews - don't know anything about Obama other than "change." That scares me that we don't know where he stands. [pssst, hannit, see barackobama.com]
56 million voted against Obama. Not a Reagan or Nixon landslide. His coattails weren't as long as predicted.
We should be nervous they want to suppress freedom of speech. [fairness doctrine].
They like to silence competition. They will go on a "hacking spree" like we have never seen in this country.
Russians flexing their muscles re Poland.
Rahm not a good sign.
Liberal media doesn't care but we must care.
I was 100% person right about my 10 keys for victory, but they weren't followed. [no matter the outcome rush/hannity are proved right]
Obama's change is fake - speculation that Lieberman will lose chair. They promised partisanship, this will be a first test.
Ragging on Rahm - bunch of quotes from Rahm being cocky, voted 98% of time with Democrats.
The sun still came up today. We have survived bad presidents in the past. This should be a liberating moment and time of introspection for Republican party.
You will hear from media elite conservative snobs like Brooks ("at New York Obama Times", Frum that right wing radio is marginalized.
Polls show people have lost confidence in Republicans but not in conservatism. They don't think they're too conservative.
(Some Reagan idolizing) for flying conservative banner proudly.
1pm-2pm
More handwringing over Lieberman's chair.
We agree elections have consequences and I wish him the best but I'm worried he's been lying to you.
Next, Hugh Hewitt (listen live).
