(Yes, this is a repost, but it got buried in the celebration last night and I thought it deserved another go.)
PROLOGUE
This post goes out to all the wingnuts, but particularly the Freepers, who provided most of the examples I cite within. It goes out to the guy in the red Lexus SUV with the McCain/Palin sticker who tried to run my wife off the road this morning. BTW, she got your LP. This goes out to all the people who are going to key cars with Obama stickers, or slash their tires. This goes out to all the people who are going to throw rocks through the windows of houses with Obama signs or beat up old ladies with Obama pins.
This goes out to you and your corporate media masters, Bill-O, Rush and Hannity. It goes out to your blog masters and to inhuman ideological monsters like Bill Kristol.
Enjoy.
As we say in deep-blue Dallas County, Texas: Fuck all y'all.
Yeah, you'll have to redact that if you quote it on Free Republic because you babies can't use grown up swears. It gives you the vapors or some shit like that.
Tonight you lost and the nation won. Now you can do one of two things: you can reevaluate your skewed world view or you can dig deeper into delusion. From sad experience with the bullshit on your site, I predict you'll be boarding the express train to Delusionville right about now. Without even looking, I know that Free Republic is clogged with posts blaming ACORN for your loss and demanding a nationwide investigation. You're blaming "smears" against Sarah! Palin and Joe the Plumber.
A common refrain is that Sarah! Palin and Joe the Plumber "are" America. Um, no.
We just elected a man with a Hebrew first name, an Arabic middle name and a Kenyan family name. The biracial son of an immigrant and a lady from Kansas, he grew up in poverty — living on food stamps. From there, he rose to get an elite education and take his blessings to help the poor and weak in this society. Thus began a path that brought him to the highest office in the land. Here's the bottom line, assholes: Barack Obama won the election because Barack Hussein Obama is America. He is all of America, not just the angry, bigoted, privileged, greedy, self-important part of America. He's the part of America that we call "the American dream" and this dream has just ended the eight year nightmare that the Republicans have wrought.
Right now you're blaming anyone but your own pathetic selves. 'Cause when you say, "The party of personal responsibility," you mean you are the people who find everyone else personally responsible for your failures. Too bad none of your bullshit conspiracy theories stand up to reality.
What happened to "the Bradley effect?" It wasn't real. 90% of your lame rationalizations were based on believing your own bullshit. You've been wrong about everything for 8 years, it just didn't matter. Bush and his criminal cronies just did what they wanted to do, and you supported them because of a big pack of lies that gave you boners.
Where are the WMD's? Where is the peaceful democracy in Iraq? Why hasn't Osama bin Laden been captured "dead or alive"? Bush won a paper-thin victory in 2004 because Americans were still freaked out over the 9/11 attacks. For some reason you thought you could win every election from 2000 on by making it a referendum on fake bullshit, and I think I speak on behalf of all progressives when I say that I hope you morons never let go of that dream.
I'm sure this loss comes as a great shock to you. After all, this is the kind of pre-election analysis you read every day:
I am not a professional poll manager, but I could take a poll and it would reflect what ever I want it to. Lets say for Instance we took all of the pole in the Eagles Club. Hmmm. Next one we took after Church in the Presbyterian Church, Hmmm. I don't think their polling is scientific or reliable. Last election had Carry beating Bush by 14 points a week before the election. Remember the poll that had Harry Truman losing to Thomas Dewey. I keep telling you that the women are not saying anything, but when the curtain closes in the voting booth the women are going to support one of their own. The next big block of votes that people are overlooking is the " Red Necks" There are a gazillion voters out there that will never vote for a black man no matter what. We are going to win BIG time.
Actual Quote
If this quote proves anything, it's that you shouldn't post while huffing glue. It's racist, it's misogynist, it's barely coherent — it hits on all cylinders of stupid. The hardest part of finding that quote was choosing among the thousands of hilariously stupid predictions posted on Free Republic in the weeks before the election.
One final note about that: I know that you are all stunned to find out how accurate the supposedly cooked polls were. Guess what, there are 10% more Democrats than Republicans now because no one wants to be in your corrupt, evil, vicious and intellectually-bankrupt political party anymore. No one except losers — like you.
Jeremiah Wright riles up the emotions much more than all other players because you can hear and see him preaching hate, racism, and anti-Americanism. They should also use Ayers and Rezko but most TV ads should be about Wright.
Actual Quote
How'd that work out for you, huh? Was America dying to know the "full truth" of Barack Hussein Obama? Yes, they were, and you didn't have it. You had a bunch of smears — easily debunked. "Why?" you cried, "Why isn't the MSM covering these stories?" Because they were bullshit, you idiots.
Tony Rezko was investigated and jailed and no one found any wrongdoing on the part of Barack Obama. There was no "there" there.
Wright? Please. He's just a loudmouthed preacher. Americans understand that preachers spout off.
Ayers? When the guy who tried to prosecute Ayers says the whole issue is bullshit, then you've got some bullshit, my friends. Americans understand about redemption, too. The feeble attempts to mash "unrepentant" and "terrorist" into a single word and glue it to Ayers were transparent propaganda.
I won't even bother getting into the hilarious conspiracy theories about Obama's birth certificate — which included detailed and utterly wrong "proof" that it was forged. You want scumbags like Larry Sinclair, Jerome Corsi and Andy Martin on your team? Keep 'em. They fit right in. A bunch of con artists and liars.
By the time you'd finished, Ayers, Wright and Rezko had been all linked together in a grand unified theory of wingnuttery. You even managed to smear Walter Annenberg, a life-long Republican and personal friend of Ronald Reagan. The average American couldn't follow it and didn't really care in the first place.
Most Americans didn't follow the narrative, of hate, but you did. As a result, the McCain campaign began to get a reputation for turning its rallies into ugly mob scenes where people would yell out death threats against Obama. In response to his slump in the polls, McCain did what only a Republican campaign strategist could think of doing: he ratcheted up the smears and attacks. You loved it. I hope you love losing, too, because that's where it got you: Loserville.
You did finally hit your stride when you went for the socialism angle. Here's what Sarah! Palin said on October 25th when trying to frighten people with a false version of Obama's financial plans:
See, under a big government, more tax agenda, what you thought was yours would really start belonging to somebody else, to everybody else. If you thought your income, your property, your inventory, your investments were, were yours, they would really collectively belong to everybody.
You guys also pointed out that this "spread the wealth around" was the foundation of Marxism. You didn't, however, mention that this was also the foundation of Christian society as described in the Bible:
Acts of the Apostles 4 (NRSV)
- Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.
- With great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.
- There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold.
- They laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.
You guys like to brag about how fantastically Christian you are. Do you ever actually read that book or is it just for thumping? You aggressively promote the historical falsehood that America was "founded on Christian principles." How would you like it if we installed a Christian theocracy that actually enforced the Christian principles in Acts? Tell you what, let's make this country a Christian Utopia. We'll ban abortion — and private property. No "amen to that"? Awww, and I finally thought we could agree to meet in the middle.
Anyway, while we're on the topic of religion:
My youth group is offering up prayer on Oct 29th during the obamamercial that Satan will not have success through his minion.
Actual Quote
Here's something that has to sting: God is on our side. Oh, I don't believe God takes sides in human politics, but you do. You had your daily "pray for President Bush" threads — and good for you, Bush needed all the help he could get. But then you added "pray for McCain/Palin" to the same thread. In many traditions, we pray for our leaders, but McCain and Palin weren't leaders, they were candidates. If you believe that God was taking an interest in the election, then I guess He showed you how He feels about your bullshit dominionist Christian Nationalism. I think God said, "Fuck off."
Well, we certainly need the Hillary-Obama fight. Without the Clintons pushing them, the MSM is going to idolize Obama instead of investigating his background. At this point we have to keep Hillary alive.
Somewhere along the line here we have to switch. Obama is just plain not electable. And, if he is nominated, I can envision Hillary supporters switching to McCain. I can not envision Obama supporters voting for McCain. They will either sit it out, or swallow their pride & vote for Hillary. And, I think the Clinton argument that Obama has won in either secure states or red states is correct.
So, Hillary is a more dangerous opponent in the general election.
For maximum effect, we need disgruntled Clinton supporters and Hussein running against McCain.
29-Mar-2008
Of course, you were so pleased to watch Obama and Clinton slug it out until the bitter end. As a result, everyone got to vote in 57 contests across all of America (I know you find that "57 state" gaffe a knee-slapper). For the first time in my life, America paid attention to the Democratic Primary in Puerto Rico; who knew they had one (besides them)? But thanks to Hillary Clinton's fighting spirit, the primaries ended with the Democratic base fired up. Of course, there were a few bitter cranks who abandoned the Democrats under the banner of "PUMAs", but there weren't really very many of them; nevertheless, because you are all incredibly stupid, you bought the line that there were "millions" of them.
Yeah, Clinton bloodied Obama, but she'll still lost. She attacked Obama on experience, on Reverend Wright and even on Ayers. Nothing worked, and surprise, surprise, when McCain tried those same attacks, they still didn't work. Obama was untested? No, he was tested by the best: Hillary Clinton — and he prevailed.
Gov. Palin is the kind of God fearing, hard working, honest, and corruption fighting politician the USA has been looking for to be President ever since Teddy Roosevelt left the White House. It took me awhile to realize who it was Gov. Palin reminded me of, but that’s who. Gov. Palin could easily be the modern equivalent of Teddy Roosevelt, one of the best Presidents there ever was.
Actual Quote (No shit!)
Oh, but you still have Geraldine Ferraro Sarah! Palin. She's going to kick Obama's ass in 2012, right? I hope you're sitting down for this, but: no fucking way. Palin couldn't even "kick ass" on America's cowed and compliant media. Every time she talked to someone unscripted, she said something stupid. Yeah, stupid. You imbeciles fawned all over every single word that came out of her mouth, but anyone paying attention was horrified. Palin's popularity was plummeting just weeks after her big debut. She's been exposed as a big phony who can't even bring "family values" to her own family. Country First? Was Sarah! Palin really the best choice for the country or was she just the best choice for McCain's sagging campaign?
We're really not worried about facing Sarah! Palin in 2012. By that time, she will have been forced out of office in Alaska, either by scandal or by losing the 2010 election. Alaskans — conservative Alaskans — are pissed at how Palin has allowed a bunch of McCain campaign lawyers to swarm in from the lower 48 and take over Alaska state business. She's not going home to an 80% approval rating. (Of course, she didn't leave to one either — her approval rating had already dropped to 65% when McCain picked her as VP.)
Maybe you lost because a lot of you assholes are racists.
Oh, I know, you hate to hear that. You are absolutely correct when you point out that voting against Obama does not mean that you're a racist. But, nevertheless, a lot of you are racists. What racism?
Every time one of you penis wrinkles insisted that Obama would not be where he was if he weren't black, you were being racist. Obama is where he is because he is brilliant and talented. To suggest that "reverse-racism" could be a strong enough factor to get anyone past the hurdles that Obama has cleared is the worldview of someone who thinks about race too much. All that bullshit about Obama being a Muslim was basically racism. "He's Muslim because his father was Muslim." People don't inherit their religion, but they do inherit their race, and that's what you really meant. Oh, and don't get me started about those stupid posts about Obama being "65% Arab" as if that meant anything other than you are a bunch of racist schmucks.
Obviously the KKK members are Obama supporters since they are racist just like he is!
Actual Quote
It's not like you didn't acknowledge racism. When a study suggested that many Democrats would refuse to vote for Obama due to race, you couldn't stop talking about it. Somehow, only Democrats were racist. You think the Klan members dispersed in the crowd at the first debate were really supporting Obama? No, they were supporting McCain. Republican racists have it easier than Democratic racists, since they so rarely have to worry about voting for black people. I wonder why that is? Oh, yeah, because the Republican party is the party of choice for American racists.
I don't think it is extreme to be concerned about Obama's tactics and friends in high places; to think about the power he could yield if there was some made-up reason for "martial law." It is just thinking ahead.
Actual Quote
I read the freaked out posts about stocking up on ammo and canned food and the breathless predictions that you'll all be sent to Obama re-education camps. How very dramatic.
But we now have a precedent for a Unitary Executive. The President has decided that he can lock people up without charges just 'cause he wants to. He can also have them tortured — oh, not here, but in foreign prisons outside the law. He can spy on American citizens without a warrant. He can act without any oversight.
And you supported this. If Obama has the ability to become a new Adolph Hitler, it's because you and the Republican Party made sure he had that kind of power. I don't believe that Obama will commit extra-legal act, but you idiots do — and thank yourselves for making sure he has the power to do so.
IF parts of this country are pro-abortion and pro-homosexual, they are are not real America. Democratic lies be damned.
Actual Quote
Tonight, a majority of Americans failed to meet your definition of "real American." Do you know what that means? That means that you hate America. Over the past few decades, conservatives have pretended to love America, but in doing so, they've split our citizens into two groups: "Americans" and "liberals." You don't even have to be a liberal to be in the non-American liberal group — just ask many of the dozens of prominent Republicans who endorsed Obama.
You are bothered by the idea of not being the elite "Real American" and having to join with the unwashed "un-Americans" in anything. To you, this country is a playing field an you can't "win" the "game" unless you oppose everything your enemies support. If we support breathing, you're pro-suffocating.
The smarter conservatives, however, have realized that our problems are so great that we have common cause and they've joined with the progressives. Hopefully, we will succeed in turning this country around. I look forward to the day when John Cole at Balloon Juice and Christopher Buckley and Colin Powell all look at us like a bunch of liberal ninnies — that's the day when we no longer have bigger problems. But there will never be a crisis bad enough for you to really love this country enough to join with us to save it.
Maybe you just like being the loyal opposition. I guess that's OK, but here's a challenge that I know you will fail, because you fail at everything: try to outsmart us. Stop it with the Hockey Moms and the guys "I'd like to have a beer with." Try to nominate candidates that are actually smarter and more capable of governing (y'know, the job of elected officials) than our candidates. Our primary dragged on to the bitter end because we had two awesome candidates to choose between. Yours ended when you "settled" on McCain.
Your decision to rally around Sarah! Palin is, in part, why our side in the 2008 election will be remembered for this:
...and your side will be remembered for this:
So go fuck yourselves, you inbred, America-hating, fake Christian, walking colostomy bags.
