One of the things that amazed me about Obama's speech on Tuesday was how he hardly uttered a word about himself. He didn't tell us how he felt. He didn't remind us of how hard he worked. He talked about what the moment was for US.
Obama's moment, after enough polls had closed that he knew he had won, his moment to savor his victory.... wasn't about him. The most personal declaration we got was when he told us that he loved his kids and they had earned a puppy.
And now, Change.gov is live. What it appears to be is the BarackObama.com website reworked for all Americans, not just Democrats.
Now that the campaign is over, change.gov is not so much about about Barack Obama as it is about OUR next government. Sure there is a page where we can review his background and learn about our next first lady, but most of the site seems to have that warm "about you" feeling that makes me hopeful that Obama's call for less partisanship is for real and might actually spill over into his new administration.
I'm enjoying surfing through it, and am looking forward to what we discover there in the next 75 days.
