NEWS FLASH: A beautiful donor has bought a slew of office supplies and disposable dishes & flatware. At this point, Staples cards that can be used for cartridges and (more) paper are the best at this point. To our donor, what can we say? We're thrilled and incredibly grateful. I'm loving this community more and more.
Update 3:
First, this community is the BEST!
Here's what they'd like us to do:
a. call the office at 404-377-9862.
You'll get to talk to Sage!
b. sign up for a date between tomorrow and December 2 (first grabbed, first reserved)
c. they'll need a bunch for office supplies because of toner costs (grrr) and natch they use a LOT of paper. Staples is best, Office Depot is also good.
And if you have any other questions that haven't been answered here, call me.
Mwwwwwah and xoxoxoxox

Update 1:
The community's response has been lovely! A couple of things were raised that I don't know how to do, like giving a Chip-In Click. I won't be at the office until say 5-ish est, but if someone can call the HQ directly for any info it's 404-377-9862. They won't know who you are -- believe it or not, no one knew about DailyKos. So tell them it was the woman on the motorscooter...
I'll respond to all your wonderful offers when I'm there, so we can be more specific about restaurants, stores, other locations. We'll figure this all out.
Thank you my dear friends and co-horts!
You can help by bringing or mailing any of the following:
- Most important right now is food and/or cash cards to buy food. They're working 14-hour days and can't get by on just chips & candy; good hot meals will keep their batteries charged. With cards, they can go to the local supermarket and buy what they need, including water, plastic flatware, etc. Or you can send them plastic flatware, paper plates.
- Office supplies/cards: pens, paper, staple/rs, tape. Any of the major stores, Office Depot, whatever.
- Office furniture: particularly folding chairs, but also tables, shelves, computer chairs -- on loan or donated.
Their mailing address is:
Martin for Senate
2752 East Ponce de Leon Avenue
Decatur GA 30030
If you live in GA, you can offer housing to out-of-state workers (and there are a lot of them, and they've been moving around the country wherever they're needed).
I'll be posting this in a couple of places here, so please don't get annoyed if you see this list a couple of times. I'd like to give it as wide an audience as possible.
Thank you for your help!
btw for all those who responded to the poll, I've lost your votes while re-doing this diary, so don't worry, they've been captured. If you haven't voted in the poll yet, please do!

I've just come from the Decatur GA Martin HQ, and I must say I've never, ever seen such incredible staff:
primacy, conviction and dedication.
But they need your help with supplies, and the need is urgent.
It's simple kinds of things, like food/cards, office supplies, and furniture.
Check out the list below and see if you can keep these people going strong.
Thanks.
