I got an email from the Martin campaign this morning with this important request
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, our campaign must buy our remaining television ad slots by the end of the day tomorrow. That means you have just a short time to dramatically affect our campaign. The more support we have from you, the more we'll be able to reach voters all across Georgia.
Well there were several diaries Here's my goal.
A Politico Poll released today has this as a three point race.
Brownsox does an excellent job of analyzing this poll and telling us what we should make of it. Therefore, I will forgo trying to make any more sense out of that information and just use my time to encourage you that we can win.
Here's something else to fire you up:
Today Saxby Chambliss's strategist told the Atlanta Journal Constitution
My dog could have been on the ballot and would be in exactly the same position Jim Martin is today," said Tom Perdue, Chambliss’ longtime political consultant. "Martin was the beneficiary of an Obama wave that swept the country. As a person, as a candidate, he’s the most insignificant opponent in all my 30 years of politics. Nobody knows who he is."
Martin's camp fired back
"Saxby Chambliss spent 6 years stockpiling $13 million from special interests only to waste nearly every dime of it during the general election. I’m sure Tom Perdue’s dog could have also done a better job managing Saxby Chambliss’ campaign. In fact, Perdue’s dog is probably better qualified to fix this economy than Saxby Chambliss."
Interesting fact - Perdue donated $2,000 to Jim Martin's 2006 Lt. Governor campaign. So ask Perdue why he gave $2,000 to the most insignificant opponent in his 30 years of politics.
Okay start giving now.
