Horrific terror attack in Mumbai, targeting Americans and Brits and killing scores of Indians and burning the Taj Mahal Hotel apparently doesn't. Not to the Front Pagers here.
Thank God, or the Higher Power of your understanding, that...
mysticlaker diaried this at "Live News Diary: Mumbai Terrorist Attacks",
and desiunion diaried "Terrorists attack tourist locations in Mumbai, India".
Forget that this is an historical conflagration and hideous crime; many of us here actually have family, business, and otherwise personal ties to the Colaba District of Mumbai (where the Taj, and Oberoi and Leopold's are).
UPDATE: O.K., there is more. Ron V writes in the Comments below:
"Having something useful to add is not, apparently, a criteria for a front page diary. Exposure is. This story obviously merits more exposure, not just for the immediate news, but perhaps for the underlying causes that led to this event."
UPDATE 2: See below the fold.

Yeh, no impact on the U.S., President-Elect Obama, our image in South Asia...
This email just in from Sanjay J., and attorney friend of mine in Pune, just south of Mumbai (some parts re-dacted):
"I and my family are safe. But this is certainly bad especially for foreign nationals visiting India for forthcoming X'mas, business visits.
Even I would suggest you advise -------- to reschedule her dates of visit because this issue will percolate till Jan. That way Pune is safe and since I am based in Pune, she need not worry. However, the entry point being Bombay or Delhi, precautions need to be taken. A lot depends on Obama how he handles world terrorism. But this will have certain impact on India.
Thanks for your mail and query.
Regards
SANJAY"
