Indeed I totally concur with the President-elect that we are now in "a new dawn of American leadership" and considering the pragmatism of his National Security Team one could not but accept the fact that his words are being matched with his actions.
What a pleasure to see Sen. Hilary Clinton as our next Secretary of States and then the other cabinet members that conspicuously demonstrated experience, commitment and determination to bring about the reclamation and rejuvenation of the country within the global perspective and in context of the necessity for leadership both at home and overseas.
Within the horizon of realism, the President- elect Barack Obama has demonstrated that as far as he is concern the country comes first before ego or any other dogmatic consideration that might be out there seeking attention. Furthermore in tune with the actions that had already being manifested by his idol President Abraham Lincoln, it is nice and exceeding gratifying to see and witness the nomination of Senators Clinton, Biden and Richardson for crucial portfolio in the in-coming administration.
The choices of Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, Gen. James L. Jones as National Security Adviser, Gov. Janet Napolitano as Secretary of Homeland Security, then that of Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and Susan E. Rice as the ambassador to the United Nations is a clear testament of the desire of Barack Obama to bring about the kind of pragmatic change that will help buttress the idealism of the country while at the same time having the potential of repairing the damage that the have been inflicted on its image.
Americans must do their part of ensuring that this in-coming administration is given all the help it can get by cooperating with the policies and objectives of President-elect Barack Obama to help renovate and reconstruct the country and provide the necessary leadership that has the propensity to bring about the reversal of the prevailing adversities and turn them into prosperity.
I am once more honored by the meticulous, pragmatic, and patriotic and at the same time qualified choices the President-elect has continued to make in an effort to build his cabinet and start the process of leading the country post President George Bush era.
Furthermore, the fact that his inclinations to the choices of who should be in the cabinet was informed in part on the basis of how meritorious such a personality will be rather than just mere political manipulation and machination again underline the candidness and promises he made to the American people and the world at large that he is ready to work with the best irrespective of their party affiliation of personal convictions as long as such scenarios does not in anyway compromise his promises and the desire to move the country forward
God bless America
God bless Obama & Biden
