Friends,
President Elect Obama has made it clear that it is the responsibility of all Americans to tell him and the other elected representatives what they want and expect from their government.
So, the time has come to stand up and actually do something to show President Obama, as he will be, that you want those who have committed war crimes to be held responsible, that you want them to be held to account for what they have done.
But what to do?
Phone calls, faxes, emails and visits to your congressional representatives, to your senators and to the President-Elect must not stop.
But BigAlinWashSt has come up with an idea that I hope you will find as brilliant as I do. He has suggested having A March for Accountability in Washington, DC.
I've suggested the date of Sunday, March 1st, because by that point the new administration and the new congress will settled into their new positions.
This is a preliminary diary to brainstorm ideas, and round up help.
Are you up to helping bring this effort together?
Do you have contacts with appropriate speakers?
Do you have contacts in the media?
Are you willing to put your feet on the line?
Would you make effort to come to the March ?
Together, we can make this happen, with everyone's help.
With gratitude,
BigAlinWashSt and Heather
