Two things come to mind that nobody is discussing in the current auto bailout talks, most notably, most GM cars are not made in this country.
One: Over 50 percent GM cars are now made in Canada and Mexico. Shouldn't these governments put up some money too? If GM collapses Canada and Mexico will be severely impacted as well.
Two: If Canada and Mexico don't chip in some money: should the US tax payers not demand that some if not all of those jobs are brought back into the US?
GM is a global company and I don't think all of the bailout money should come from US tax payers.
The Pontiac G8 was designed in Australia and the LaCrosse was designed in China.
