I met Brian Moran during the Webb campaign. In the first photo he is signing up at a Democratic booth in Alexandria with a Jim Webb sticker on as Susan Allen campaigns behind him. At the Galax Old Fiddler's Convention he had me put a Webb bumper sticker on his car. I traveled all over Virginia delivering Jim Webb campaign gear to people who were setting up tables at fairs, festivals and other events. From the 4th of July Fair in Alexandria, to the Old Fiddler's Convention in Galax and the Unity rally in Charlottesville, I saw Brian at more events than I saw Jim Webb during that campaign. Not just shaking hands and meeting people, he was working with the grassroots to help get Jim Webb elected.
One of Brian's key legislative achievements was sponsoring and passing Alica's Law through the General Assembly, which provides the resources to crack down on child sex predators. This video clip of Brian addressing the Virginia House of Delegates in support of Alica's Law really shows how he has the brains and the passion to be a great governor of Virginia.

Brian has a long record of service and strong ties all over Virginia, which is why he is gaining endorsements across the Commonwealth. As Minority Caucus Chairman, Brian's job has been to expand the Democratic map in Virginia by recruiting House of Delegate candidates in key areas like Virginia Beach and he's been very successful. We’ve gone from 33 members when he became chair to 45 now, within striking distance of the majority. Brian will be a highly effective Governor because he has strong relationships with many members of the Virginia Assembly, which will be crucial in passing legislation that continues to move Virginia forward.
Brian has 12 years of experience getting Democrats elected and has been a large part of the progress we've made turning Virginia Blue. He doesn't have to over compensate with bluster or hide from a shameful Republican voting record. This makes Brian the only candidate who knows how to win all over Virginia and turn out the numbers we need in Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia to win the Governor's race next November. For these reasons, Brian Moran is clearly the best candidate to carry on the Warner/Kaine legacy and blaze a new trail of strong, progressive Democratic leadership.
