More or less, mostly more.
Recently, I had been working 3 days per week at a startup, 1/2 per week for a professor, and doing some consulting, all doing data analysis and statistics. Now, the startup fired me.
Not really much more to say .... they let half their employees go, because the fundraisers could not raise any more money. I think this is the start of the death spiral for them, they can't do what they do without the people they fired.
I'm very lucky in that money is not an immediate concern, and won't be for quite a while, but I need a job, I'm too young to retire, even if I had 10 times as much money as I do, or 100 times.
Not sure how this will play out, whether I will find something full time, or try to expand the consulting business, or what, but we shall see.
