Now reading
Godel, Escher, Bach: An eternal golden braid by Douglas Hofstadter. I am doing a series here on this book. Wonderful.
A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell. A fantastic survey by a hero of mine.
Pattern Recognition by William Gibson. SF, cutting edge. I just started it, but it looks good.
Polarized America by Nolan McCarty, Keith T. Poole and Howard Rosenthal. On the relationship between the distribution of income and polarization in American politics in the 20th century. Good for us political science geeks. I will probably write a diary on this one, at some point.
The Wild Shore by Kim Stanley Robinson. SF about a post-apocalypse California. I read this a long time ago, and am rereading it. It's good.
