It makes me cry out loud,
and it should make every human being cry out loud. What have we come to when we begin to excuse this under the cover of foggy international laws, and all of the interpretations of them, to justify this?
Aren't we human beings anymore? How can ANYONE justify this kind of massacre of a people - anywhere, anytime?
There is NO excuse for this, period. 13 Dead Israelis (3 of whom were killed in friendly fire), are no comparison to 1,300 in retaliation, PLUS a total destruction of their economy, the flattening of their farmlands and factories, and so much more.
How on earth can people justify this inequal showing of power against a people caged in with nowhere to go?
Send down leaflets saying "evacuate"? Bullhorn messages that you have five minutes to get out of your houses to find shelter? WHAT SHELTER? WHERE?
This is an international crime. If we allow this kind of behaviour this time, what will happen next time?
Yes, and our own government is totally complicit in supporting this murderous attitude. Do we really want other people to think that because Bush did things most of us were against, we should be indiscriminately be bombed and our livelyhoods destroyed? The majority of us were against the Iraq War, yet, somehow, he still ended up as our president. Does that mean that all of us should be treated as the terrorist he was?
