Just when you thought that the Republicans' stable of heroes couldn't fall any lower into the muck of extremism we now have the latest outrage from one of their absolutely worst actors and propagandists, Chuck Norris.
Apparently, Mr. Norris is upset that his view of America as an off course right wing theocracy does not particularly thrill a majority of his fellow Americans.
His answer? He plans to run for President of Texas!
How exactly will America fall into the hands of Mr. Norris and his gaggle of Holy Christian soldiers as they march forward in a righteous slaughter?
Why, all across America, at this very moment, there are thousands of right wing cells preparing to foment a Second American Revolution. And, if it takes the violent overthrow of the Constitutionally elected government of the United States to satisfy loony fascists like Mr. Norris and his allies....so be it.
I know that many of you are sitting there thinking as you read this, Where have I seen this rhetoric before?
Who else claimed that America was on the wrong path and that only strong and forceful action could save the masses from themselves?
Who then went about attempting to do exactly what Mr. Norris is calling for while wearing a t-shirt that quoted Thomas Jefferson when he wrote "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants"?
For the answer to that question you need look no further than a sea of 168 stone chairs located in downtown Oklahoma City.
Timmy McVeigh was channeling The Turner Diaries.
Now Chuck Norris is channeling Timothy McVeigh.
