I'm keenly interested in helping with a Netroots Nation session on international law and justice issues. I'm off to the International Criminal Court in the Hague in a few weeks to discuss grassroots efforts in the U.S. to repeal some of the anti-ICC laws that were passed during the Bush/Cheney years and to move the U.S. toward becoming a signatory of the Rome Statute that governs the court.
However, I'm not an attorney or any particular expert on international law and justice, just someone who's been doing some public speaking and general advocacy for the ICC for a few years. I'd love to support a panel or discussion group, but I don't have as much overall knowledge or a network of speaker possibilities as so many others here who'd be perfect for leading a session.
If you've already proposed a session on international law and justice, or if you're thinking about it -- or if you know you SHOULD be thinking about it -- would you give me an e-holler at kim(dot)yaman(at)gmail.com?
