This was a week not to be absent from the media action as story after story broke, revealing what we think is shaping a new dangerous narrative developning in the nation. The release of the torture memos by the New York Times and the response thereto, the Homeland Security report of Right Wing extremist groups recruitment of returning veterans and the response thereto, the skyrocketing gun/ ammunitions sales to Second Amendment purist and their arguments thereto and recent chatter of states sovereignty all point to a very strong argument for a nation soon to be at war with itself.
Any one of these headline-grabbing stories reviewed separate and apart from the others may not raise an eyebrow but taken collectively, a very plausible case could be made for an ugly undercurrent sweeping the country. While moderates, progressives and independents look to the future for hope, there is a significant minority of yet to be definable elements looking to that same future with hate.
Since there is no way to determine how large and angry this silent movement is or how far and wide their reach has spread, a wise and prudent observer will keep abreast of these disturbing revelations. Left unchecked and under reported, this simmering resentment fueled by race and class warfare could be the prelude to not so peaceful dissent moving forward.
Each of these stories will be cover at length next week, as they all deserve far more attention than we are willing to give them on the most beautiful spring day thus far here in the northeast. But, you can get the full story in the podcast by clicking here http://retrovisionmedia.com/...
You should be advised, we are not covering these topics to alarm you but we think it is necessary to make you aware of the possiblilties.
