increased taxes will be the death to the American dream.
Economics 101 teaches the basics of supply and demand, a principle so easy to understand that the basics concepts are universally accepted. For some odd reason however when governments get involved those basic principles are forgotten, ignored or simply put aside and replaced with the idea's of social reform and the inherent need to provide for the well being of all.
high taxes, tariffs, fees and regulations take away from our freedoms and creates an imbalance within the supply and demand principle. Taxes, some taxes are essential for maintaining a needed social order but burdensome taxes and governmental control has a negative effect on our innate and constitutional rights to property and freedoms of personal choice.
I submit that if your a proponent of higher taxes, go ahead and pay them. Write the check today and put your money where your mouth is. If your unwilling to pay the debts you seem so willing to force me to pay then why should I submit to your will? Put up the cash or shut up. I will pay my debts and I will continue to pay my way while providing for my family on the meager income of a teacher, but I will not stand by and allow your unfulfilled dreams of power and influence to take away from what I've worked so hard to accomplish.
Every time you vote to increase my taxes and my debt I have less to give to my family. The direct correlation of government income with taxes is a proven fact. If you want the government to have more money, then lower taxes and watch personal income rise and taxes collected increase. The opposite is true when you raise taxes, personal income gets lower and less people are able to pay taxes, meaning less money for government.
This is not a difficult concept, why can't the liberals or of late the Republicans understand that simple principle? Perhaps it's not about the money at all but about the level of control that politicians get instead. Now that's something to be concerned about.
