Another membery of the clergy has decided not to perform any marraige until equality for all is achieved.

I first heard this just now on NPR, and did a quick Google search.
Rev. Art Cribbs has now declared that he will no perform any marraige in CA until all Prop 8 is lifted.
He joins other ministers from North Carolina to Las Vegas who have taken this stance. The Las Vegas Article is older, sorry I don't have a more recent update.
This is how social change happens, and this is what the conservatives are so afraid of. They have built a concrete wall of tyranny against gays, and these are just a few examples of seeds taking root and cracking that wall into rubble.
It is far from over, and it will be far from easy. Conservatives are going to do everything they can to keep their wall in place, but they also know that it connot stand. They know that in the long run they are on the wrong side of the issue.
Jesus taught love for all. I'm not gay, but it hurts me when people who share a love for each other are prohibited from expressing that love to the fullest. When a person is kept from their partner's side in their final moments it hurts me, and it hurts us all. When any human is prevented from all of the joys and troubles that a loving marraige represents it hurts me and it hurts us all.
