The clouds finally broke and the blue sky appeared and it seemed a good thing to check out the baby birds of Lake Seminole Park ...

Maturing ospreys, fledged ospreys, great blue herons flying but still in their nest, baby ducks ... these are the things which I like. The Earth is about Life and therefore living things possess intrinsic value far in excess of whatever sort of economic value humans place upon their destruction.
I encourage everyone to devote their attention to beauty and peace.
I was reading a book this morning at the bookstore and happened to discover that I was referenced in the book. So my name is preserved forever ...
A conservative asked me this morning if I would provide my non-human objective opinion of humankind. I answered that I agree with God's opinion as expressed in Genesis 6:5-7. That is one of the most brutally honest statements in the Bible. Too bad the rest of the Bible isn't quite so perfect.
Too bad God didn't solve either the human problem or the violence problem during Noah's Flood, too ... Genesis is extremely rough on God. Hard to believe anyone put their faith in such an imperfect and often mistaken god.
But, yes, I am devoted to religion. I am devoted to all of the religions. I am devoted to all of the scriptures. I am a man of faith. Though my faith is quite unusual because atheists insist that I am Christian and Chrsitians insist that I am an atheist. That's exactly as I would have it, too, since I do not adhere to any group or any dogma.
The atheists are ever bit as silly and absurd as the fundamentalists.
I accept them all and I reject them all. Such is my low regard for the opinions of others.
If the Earth was all about humankind this planet would be a very sad place indeed. Fortunately there are millions of species which don't live as humans have chosen to live. If the last 10,000 years has demonstrated anything at all it is that humans are not as wise nor as creative as Nature.
After four billion years, Nature has earned my trust. After 10,000 years, humans have earned a less fortunate fate.
